dc.description.abstractStereopair slide showing John Maxwell, who was the plant superintendent at the Durango Uranium-Vanadium Processing Plant, which was owned by the Vanadium Corporation of America. During the uranium boom of the 1950s, the Vanadium Corporation of America owned uranium-vanadium mines and processing plants in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico, and it had contracts to supply uranium to the Atomic Energy Commission.
