Abstract
Efforts to combat emissions of global warming/greenhouse gases are spawning the development of systems to track, record and share the carbon footprint and other environmental attributes of various operations. Methane emissions from the natural gas industry is one such area. This is in part driven by regulations coming into force in the Europe Union, which will prescribe maximum levels of emissions of methane associated with the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) entering the region.
