Abstract
Photograph showing some of the mining operations at the Monument #2 Mine, which was located north of Kayenta and owned by the Vanadium Corporation of America. The carnotite ore from this mine was trucked to the Vanadium Corporation of America's Durango Uranium-Vanadium Plant where uranium concentrate (yellow cake) and vanadium concentrate (red cake) were extracted from it.
