Abstract
Photograph showing two men standing outside the tunnel entrance to the Monument #2 Mine. There are ore cart rails coming out of the tunnel and graffiti on the rock walls around the tunnel entrance. Monument #2 Mine was located north of Kayenta, Arizona, and owned by the Vanadium Corporation of America. The carnotite ore from this mine was trucked to the Vanadium Corporation of America's Durango Uranium-Vanadium Plant where uranium concentrate (yellow cake) and vanadium concentrate (red cake) were extracted from it.
