In particular, research into incentives in peer-to-peer systems such as BitTorrent can be used to bootstrap block exchange strategies in IPFS. In this work, we take the first step in the implementation and analysis of strategies in Bitswap, IPFS’s block exchange subsystem. We investigate a select set of strategies from both an analytical perspective and with a novel strategy implementation and testbed. Our work shows the promise of a simple, single-hop strategy implementation and sets the stage for further work in this direction.born digitalmasters thesesengCopyright of the original work is retained by the author.distributed systemsinternetpeer-to-peergame theorybittorrentipfsGame theoretical analysis of resource allocation in the interplanetary file systemText
