Each hole charged with 5 pounds of free-running #2 bag powder and 1 stick of 40% extra dynamite. Holes were not tamped. Electric blasting is employed. Truax-Traer operated a number of coal mines using strip mining techniques in North Dakota and other states. The Company was purchased by Consolidation Coal Company in 1962. | |
