| dc.description.abstract | Stereopair of the Vanadium Corporation of America's Durango Uranium-Vanadium Processing Plant showing two workers standing next to the conveyor belt which transported the materials through the milling process. At the plant, uranium and vanadium were extracted from carnotite and roscoelite ores by salt roasting crushed ore and then leaching and precipitating the uranium concentrate (yellow cake) and vanadium concentrate (red cake). These concentrates were then filtered and dried. | |
