dc.description.abstractTest on shaped exterior wires of locked coil track strand - Note: These tests at Tension Member Technology in California (following the Lion's Head Gondola Accident at Vail, Colorado) established definitively that the exterior Z-shaped wires of locked coil track strand can come out of lock and unwind when breaks occur in strands which are side by side.
