dc.description.abstractPhotograph of the interior of the Vanadium Corporation of America's Durango Uranium-Vanadium Processing Plant showing a worker standing next to the water leach tank with the filters in the background. Crushed carnotite and roscoelite ores were first salt roasted and then leached in this tank. Uranium concentrate (yellow cake) and vanadium concentrate (red cake) were precipitated from the solution.
