dc.description.abstractTowels hang from pins at a rack on the wall of the drying-room in the change house, Sherwood Mine. The Sherwood Mine was an underground iron mine in the Menominee Range in Iron County, Michigan. The mine was operated from 1931-1975 by the Inland Steel Company. It was the last working underground iron mine in Iron County.
