dc.description.abstractThe image shows three miners underground, posing with a drill. The Garbutt Mine (F. C. Garbutt Mine) was located in the Leadville district in the Gold Belt area east of Leadville in Lake County, Colorado and was a good gold producer around 1895. F.C. Garbutt was a smelter superintendent in Leadville around 1879.
