Abstract
Stereopair slide showing a man standing in front of a compressor at the Happy Jack Mine, which is located north of Monticello in the White Canyon district, Utah. The Happy Jack reportedly shipped some copper-uranium ore in 1944 but was not an economical copper producer. After the Atomic Energy Commission announced its uranium buying program, the Happy Jack began uranium production and shipped its first ore to the White Canyon mill in 1949. The Happy Jack Mine produced over twenty five million dollars worth of uranium.
