Abstract
A miner operates a stratascope underground at the Dehue Mine. A stratascope is inserted into a drill hole, allowing a visual inspection of the strata. The Dehue Mine was an underground coal mine in Dehue, West Virginia that started operations some time in the early 1900s. The Mine was operated by Youngstown Mine Corporation into the early 1960s. The company town of Dehue was eventually deserted to make way for further coal mining operations and the Dehue tipple was torn down in 1993.
