Abstract
The mineral specimen of rhodochrosite and bluish fluorite crystals comes from the Urad Mine, located near Henderson in Clear Creek County, Colorado. The Urad Mine was a molybdenum mine operated during World War II and again from 1967 to 1974. The Henderson molybdenum orebody was discovered in 1964 and the Henderson Mine was operated by the Climax Molybdenum Company starting in 1976. Rhodochrosite and fluorite have been found in both locales.
