Abstract
Buildings of the Oliver Iron Mining Company's district crushing and screening plant are shown, with an elevated rail line and ore cars behind its upper levels. A dirt road in the foreground goes into the plant's gate. The Oliver Iron Mining Company was organized in the early 1890s to manage property in the Mesabi Range. The Company acquired mineral properties elsewhere in Minnesota and in the Upper Peninsula. By 1901 the Company was a division of United States Steel Corporation.
