Abstract
Photograph showing a jeep parked behind the sign for the Vanadium Corporation of America's Monument #2 Mine north of Kayenta, Arizona. This mine was one of the largest producers of carnotite ore during the uranium boom of the 1950s, and the ore was trucked to the Vandium Corporation of America's Durango Uranium-Vanadium Plant where uranium concentrate (yellow cake) and vandium concentrate (red cake) were extracted from it.
