Abstract
Stereopair slide of the Vanadium Corporation of America's Durango Uranium-Vanadium Processing Plant showing concentrate leaving one of the six multiple hearth roasters at the plant. These roasters were used to salt roast crushed carnotite and roscoelite ores. After the roasting was completed the solids were leached, and the uranium concentrate (yellow cake) and vanadium concentrate (red cake) were precipitated from the liquid.
