Abstract
The United Verde Copper Company acquired claims in the Verde Valley area, Arizona in the early 1880s and operated copper mines and processing facilities near Jerome until the 1950s. The United Verde Extension Mining Company (UVX) made a rich copper strike in Jerome in 1915 and worked the UVX deposit.
