Abstract
Students of the Colorado School of Mines push a mine car towards the entrance of the school's experimental mine (Edgar mine) in Idaho Springs, Clear Creek County. Captions read: "At the Colorado School of Mines practice in underground work was given at the experimental mine at Idaho Springs." "Bridging the gap between the campus and industry has been successfully accomplished at the Colorado School of Mines through summer field courses. These are offered in all options. Here is a view of the entrance to the Colorado School of Mines Experimental Mine near Idaho Springs, where a six-weeks field course in mine surveying and mapping is required of all students in mining and mining geology at the end of their sophomore year."
